Explore the Wonders of Point Dume Nature Preserve Hike

I absolutely loved Point Dume. It was an absolutely incredible park with pretty easy trails. The views are absolutely incredible and a summer sunset here is such an incredible view. The stairs down to the beach are gorgeous but beware of how steep they are and the tide schedule. Parking is a pain in the butt with a tiny two hour parking spot for visitors. Other visitors must park in the nearby neighborhood, but beware of the no parking signs at the risk of being towed.

Point Dume is easily my favorite spot in Malibu. The views are simply breathtaking, offering a panoramic glimpse of the Pacific that never gets old. The trail is perfect for anyone looking for a leisurely hike- it’s not too difficult, making it accessible for all skill levels. The natural beauty surrounding the area is incredible, with lush vegetation, wildflowers, and the occasional sighting of wildlife. Whether you’re there for a peaceful walk, stunning photography, or just to soak in the tranquility of the ocean, Point Dume is truly a gem. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Malibu!

Beautiful hike with numerous places to stop and soak in the views. There is free parking at the top but that lot is almost always full. Down by the beach was 8 dollars per car and that lot has plenty of parking. I felt it was 100 percent worth the fee.

Incredibly pretty place with amazing views. We were so lucky to come during sunset time and have the hills be full of blossoming flowers. There are some clearly delineated trails and you can even go down to the beach. Highly recommended!

Perfect short hike up on a bluff worth amazing views. You can start from the top or from the beach parking lot. If you carefully you will see the sealions on the rocks and in the water below.
